Baseball Falls in Game 2 to Iowa
Colin Noftsier Baseball Apr 20 IOWA CITY, Iowa – Rutgers baseball dropped Saturday's game to Iowa by a score 15-5 at Duane Banks Field. The Scarlet Knights (23-15, 3-8) were unable to overcome a pair of early big innings from the Hawkeyes' (21-15, 8-6), who secured the series victory with the win. RU got on the board first with an RBI groundout from Ty Doucette in the top of the first. Iowa would respond in the second with four runs on a hit-by-pitch, two-run single and sac fly.
