Bucs Fall in Six Innings to Eagles; Rubber Match Postponed due to Weather
ROCK HILL, S.C. - The Winthrop Eagles evened the three-game series with the Charleston Southern softball team on Saturday, as they cruised to a six-inning, 9-1 win over the Buccaneers at Terry Field. Game one was all Eagles (19-26, 6-8 in conference), as they exploded for three in the first inning off of Riley Lauffer , sending seven batters to the plate. Winthrop added three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, as a solo home run began the inning.
