WICHITA – Newman Baseball lost a close contest to Pittsburg State in the second game of the final home series at McCarthy this season, having to try and dig themselves out of a hole after taking an early lead. The Gorillas had won the first game in dominant fashion, not allowing any Newman runs after the second inning and going on to win 13-3.
