McAllister runs away with heptathlon title at Augustana
ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Cornell’s Natalie McAllister captured the heptathlon title with a top-10 NCAA mark at Augustana’s Meet of Champions, contested Friday and Saturday. McAllister, an all-American fourth-place finisher in the heptathlon a year ago, compiled 4,619 points in the seven events which ranks No. 8 nationally this outdoor season. She beat runner-up Megan Hunt of UW-Oshkosh by 368 points. McAllister claimed event wins in the 100 hurdles (14.83), shot put (36-7.50) and 200 (26.49).
