Women’s Lacrosse Outlasts UMBC in Overtime
BALTIMORE, Md. (BUBearcats.com) – Gabriella Meli’s game winning goal in overtime sent the Binghamton women’s lacrosse team (9-6, 4-1) past UMBC (9-5, 4-2), 14-13, Saturday afternoon at UMBC Stadium. The win moves BU into a tie for first place in the America East standings and cliches the Bearcats third straight AE playoff appearance. The victory also extends Binghamton’s win streak to five, its longest of the season. BU dominated in the draw circle with three times as many draw controls wins as the Retrievers’, 21-8.
