Women’s Tennis Closes Season Against RIT

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women’s tennis team concluded their 2023-24 season at home against RIT Saturday (April 20), falling 6-3. The Tigers opened the match with a doubles sweep before the teams split the six singles matches. Emiliia Grydnieva (Kyiv, Ukraine/Optima) earned a singles victory in the second flight, picking up a 6-2, 6-1 win. At third singles, Rei Etsumi (Honolulu, Hawaii/President William McKinley) bounced back from a first set loss to take the second 6-2. In the tiebreaker, Etsumi prevailed with a 10-7 win.
