Baseball Tosses Shutout to Sweep Demons
SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word baseball team defeated Northwestern State (NWST) to complete the sweep on Sunday at Sullivan Field, sponsored by H-E-B. The Cardinals won the game 5-0 behind a combined complete game shutout from Hunter Hargett and Dave Johnson. Hargett pitched six innings, allowing no runs on four hits to lower his ERA to 3.64 on the year. Johnson recorded his first save striking out three batters in three innings of work.
