Charleston’s 3k Steeplechase Top 10 Gets a Fresh Shake Up at USC Open
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Two College of Charleston runners won and one changed the record book in the 3k steeplechase to highlight Charleston on a hot day in Columbia at the USC Open. Savannah Stoutt finished first in the steeplechase in a time of 11:20.66 entering herself into the top 10 in school history for the event. This is the first time the top marks have been altered since 2018 by Tess Masselink. In the next event of the day, Rhian Purves led coast-to-coast for the 1500 win (4:32.08).
