MALIBU, Calif. – The Pepperdine baseball team outhit San Diego nine to six, but could not turn those into runs, leaving seven on base throughout the game. The Waves (12-27, 6-8) stayed toe-to-toe with the Toreros (25-12, 10-4) all game, but a three-run fourth inning would be enough to give San Diego the win as Pepperdine would fall 2-4, looking to avoid the sweep in the third and final game of the series.
