Cougars Fall to No. 19 Arizona in Tucson

TUCSON, Ariz. (April 20, 2024) – Washington State dropped a 7-1 contest to No. 19 Arizona at Hi Corbett Field Saturday evening. The Cougars (18-19, 7-13 Pac-12) received a two-hit game from Max Hartman and solid start from Connor Wilford who struck out seven and worked into the seventh inning. The Cougars took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning but Arizona (23-14, 12-5 Pac-12) answered with a run in their half of the fourth, took a lead with two in the fifth and pulled away with a four-run seventh.
