Gardner-Webb Splits Saturday Doubleheader at USC Upstate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Gardner-Webb University softball team earned a split against the University of South Carolina Upstate on Saturday afternoon wining the first game 4-3 before dropping the second 5-0. The first game was a continuation of a game on Friday that was postponed in the second inning due to weather. On Friday evening, GWU took an initial lead with an Andrea Lyon single bringing home one, and a another from Adrienne Visintine that scored a pair.
