JACKS BEAT LEAGUE-LEADING TOMMIES
BROOKINGS, S.D. – The South Dakota State baseball team scored nine unanswered runs Saturday afternoon to top league-leading St. Thomas 9-5 in the first of a three-game series at Erv Huether Field. The Jackrabbits move to 16-19 on the season and are above .500 in conference play at 8-7. St. Thomas drops to 13-15 overall and 8-4 in the Summit League. The Tommies dropped their first conference contest since April 6. St. Thomas worked its way out to a 5-0 lead with multiple runs in both the third and fifth frames.
