Lapeer’s Dumas inks with U-M Dearborn hockey

LAPEER — Ella Dumas, a senior at Lapeer High, signed her National Letter of Intent to play women’s hockey for the University of Michigan-Dearborn Thursday. Dumas also considered Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan universities. “U-M-Dearborn had a great community, good coaches and a good environment,” said Dumas of her choice of colleges. She’s been playing hockey since the age of 4-and-a-half. She also played varsity hockey for Lapeer High, JV tennis and powder puff football.
