Lopers Sweep the Savage Storm

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney tennis teams swept Southeastern Oklahoma State on Sunday morning in Edmond, the 29th-ranked women beating the 39th-ranked Savage Storm, 6-1, and the men winning, 5-2. In a battle of regionally ranked squads, the Lopers (16-4) took the doubles point from SEOSU (16-7) by winning at two and three. The 45th-ranked pair of Melisa Becerra (Colombia) and junior Narindra Ranaivo (Madagascar) are now 19-1 and riding a 13-match win streak. In singles, Becerra and freshman Tanya Midzi (Zimbabwe) won at two and six in three sets with Midzi rallying from a 4-0 hole to win 10-8....
