Mendez Totals 3 Hits in Delaware State’s Loss to Sacred Heart

DOVER, DE –The Delaware State Hornets got a boost from senior Wilfredo Mendez, who collected three hits in a 6-2 loss to the Sacred Heart Pioneers Sunday. Freshman Rocardo Gonzalez started and took the loss on the mound for Delaware State (14-18, ). Sophomore Nathan Vidmar was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going one shutout inning while allowing one hit. In addition to his three hits, Mendez had two doubles to lead the Hornets.
