Runnin’ Bulldogs Sweep Longwood in Saturday Doubleheader

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University baseball squad won games two and three of their weekend series against Longwood University on Saturday afternoon sweeping a doubleheader. The Runnin' Bulldogs took the first game by a final of 8-5, and the second 2-0. Game one saw two separate lightning delays across nine innings. Alec Burns hit a two-run bomb in the first inning giving an early lead prior to the first delay. Before the second delay, Longwood scored four in the fourth and one in the sixth to take a 5-2 lead.
