CARLINVILLE, Illinois – The Lyon College Scots swept a non-conference double-header from the Blackburn College Beavers in Carlinville, Illinois this afternoon 9-3 and 11-2 to improve to 17-16 overall on the season. In Game 1, Walker Smith led off with a base hit to left center and Braden Hendirx was hit by a pitch. Lane Vangennip came in to pinch run for Hendrix and Jayden Cull drew a walk that loaded the bases. Logan Doody followed that with a shot to left center to bring in Smith.
