Senior Day victory keys series win over Cowgirls
DURANGO, Colo. – A sixth-inning sacrifice fly from Alejandra Medina paired with a bases-loaded inning-ending double-play was the difference maker as the Fort Lewis softball team emerged with a 4-3 win in game one before dropping game two 6-2 to New Mexico Highlands resulting in a 3-1 series win for the Skyhawks in their final home set of the 2024 season. The split lands the Skyhawks at 17-28 overall and 15-21 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action while the Cowgirls stand at 14-29 overall and 10-28 in league play.
