UConn softball clinched a 2-0 victory against Seton Hall behind stellar pitching in South Orange, N.J., breaking a scoreless tie in the seventh inning with two runs.

• Hallie Siems made her 24th start, pitching 4.1 scoreless innings, allowing only one hit and securing one strikeout.
• Payton Kinney relieved Siems in the fifth inning, pitching 2.2 hitless innings and striking out three batters.

• UConn left seven runners on base while Seton Hall loaded the bases in the fifth inning but failed to score.
• The Huskies scored two pivotal runs in the seventh inning to secure the victory.
