University of Southern Maine Men’s Track Team Claims Second Place at Pine Tree State Classic; Carrolton Sets Record

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The University of Southern Maine men’s track & field team placed second at the Maine Pine Tree State Classic hosted by Bowdoin College. Graduate student William Carrolton (Bath, Maine/Morse) further extended his own program record in the discus with a throw of 48.71m to place first in the event. The Huskies finished second in a field of nine teams with 138 points. Senior Ethan Shain (Sanford, Maine) and junior Anthony O’Donnell (Portland, Maine/Deering) won events on the track.
