The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater women’s track and field team finished fourth in a 24-team field at the Meet of Champions hosted by Augustana College Friday-Saturday. Tina Shelton (Janesville, Wis./Parker) was absolutely flying in the fastest event of the meet, the 100 meter dash. Shelton’s 11.73 in the preliminaries is the best time in Division III this season by .07. She did not compete in the finals of the event, but Warhawks Danielle Pouska (Algonquin, IL/Jacobs) and Maddie Buehler (Whitewater, Wis./Whitewater) represented UWW with top eight finishes.
