It was a tough start to the weekend for the Notre Dame softball, losing twice to a ranked Clemson team. The Tigers are ranked 20th or 21st depending on which rankings you look at. The Irish needed to salvage a win by any means necessary. A 4-0 lead made it seem like the Irish were going to get that elusive victory for the weekend, but the Tigers came all the way back and finally took the lead in the seventh.
