IOWA CITY, Iowa — While cool, blustery conditions may have hindered some, Western Illinois pole vaulter Arnie Grunert found the weather and temperatures much to his liking at Iowa’s Musco Invitational on Saturday. After breaking his school record in the pole vault last week, Grunert bested even himself, setting another new standard for the program with a vault of 17 feet, 4.5 inches.
