Wilson strikes out eight in home finale against Gorillas
WICHITA – Newman Baseball struggled on offense in their final home game of the season against Pittsburg State, but decent pitching kept them in the game for a majority of the contest as the Jets still chase a berth in the MIAA Tournament. The Gorillas narrowly escaped Newman in the second game of the series on Saturday, winning 10-8. Before Sunday’s game, twelve baseball student athletes and one manager were celebrated for their contributions to Newman Baseball.
