Women’s Track and Field: First-years set tone at Duane Gomez Invitational
GAMBIER, Ohio — A slew of first-year student-athletes tallied plenty of points for the Kenyon College women’s track and field team in Saturday’s Duane Gomez Invitational, the Owls’ only home meet of the season. Their efforts led to 79 team points and a fourth-place finish in the final team standings. Wittenberg University won the meet with 158 points. The College of Wooster was second with 132 points and nearby Mount Vernon Nazarene University held down third place with 101 points. The Owls had two event wins, both coming in distance events.
