Bethea Earns Big West Field Player of the Week Honors
IRVINE, Calif.--University of Hawai'i utility player Mya'Liah Bethea blasted a home run in all three games last week en route to earning her second career Big West Field Player of the Week honor on Monday. Bethea, a senior from Las Vegas, Nev., drove in a team-high eight RBI and scored five runs while going 6-for-9 at the plate to tie teammate Izabella Martinez with a team-best .667 batting average in a three-game conference series against Cal State Bakersfield.
