Chaps Claim 13 Top-3 Finishes at Buffalo Invitational

CANYON, Texas - The Lubbock Christian Track & Field program claimed 13 top-3 finishes at West Texas A&M's Buffalo Invitational this Sunday. The meet was highlighted by first place finishes by Bryce Spencer and Esperanza Cruz . Spencer won gold in the men's hammer throw with a final mark of 66.82 meters, one meter shy of tying the LCU school record. Cruz picks up her first gold medal of the season, winning the women's javelin with a throw of 32.12 meters. For the Lady Chaps, 10 other student-athletes finished within the top-3 of their events.
