GIRLS’ TENNIS ROUNDUP: Pioneers claim Mooresville Invitational title
MOORESVILLE — Providence took home the title in the Mooresville Invitational on Saturday. The Pioneers beat Bloomington South 3-2 in their first match, then blanked Decatur Central 5-0 in the final. Against the Panthers, Claire Clemmer-Becht and the No. 1 doubles duo of Reese Carver and Grace Kaiser won in straight sets while Addy Wilkinson won in three sets at No. 2 singles. In the afternoon match, Providence rolled. Clemmer-Becht, Wilkinson and Avery Crone (at No. 3) all won in singles.
