POTSDAM, N.Y.—For the third time this spring, SUNY Potsdam men’s lacrosse player Saka Thompson (Akwesasne, N.Y./Salmon River) has been named the State University of New York Athletic Conference’s Defensive Athlete of the Week. He earned the same honor on March 4 and 25. Thompson continued his stellar season in a 16-6 win over New Paltz at home on Saturday. The sophomore goalie made 13 saves to lower his conference leading goals-against-average to 7.29. and his second best save percentage to .656.
