Allen, Prosper ISD tennis standouts shine at 5-6A tournament

ALLEN—The Allen tennis team has set a high bar when it comes to competing in 5-6A, securing three consecutive district championships during the fall followed by a trio of playoff runs of at least three rounds deep. The Eagles have traditionally carried over that success into the spring season, and this week's 5-6A tournament was no different. Playing on its home courts on Monday-Tuesday, Allen had either a district champion or runner-up, and in some cases both, in each of the tourney's five brackets.
