GREENVILLE, S.C. (April 23) – After establishing the top mark in the Conference Carolinas in the shot put, University of Mount Olive men's track & field freshman Sigursteinn Asgeirsson was named the Conference Carolinas Field Athlete of the Week by the league office on Tuesday. A native of Borgasetriô, Iceland, Asgeirsson posted a season-best mark in the shot put with a toss of 16.27 meters to place fourth at the USC Open.
