KERRVILLE, Texas - Freshman Thomas Danielson finished the opening round of the Southland Conference Championship with three birdies in the last five holes to lead the Nicholls State University men's golf team with a 2-over 74. Nicholls fired a 310 overall to place ninth out of 10, finishing four strokes ahead of Texas A&M-Commerce.
