Defensive struggles doom costly for Panthers
HANOVER, Ind. – Hanover (8-24 overall, 3-9 HCAC) found themselves plagued defensively surrendering a doubleheader to the Pioneers of Transylvania. The Panthers dropped game one 4-1 before falling in the night cap, 9-0. GAME ONE PLAY-BY-PLAY The Pioneers were able to break the scoreless tie in the top of the third inning as a Panther hiccup plated the first run of the afternoon, 1-0.
