Arizona Diamondbacks closer Paul Sewald is ready for his next step toward returning from the injured list. Sewald will throw in a rehab appearance with Triple-A Reno on Tuesday against the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (Houston Astros), D-backs manager Torey Lovullo told reporters before Arizona’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday. The Diamondbacks placed Sewald on the 15-day IL before Opening Day after he suffered a Grade 2 left oblique strain in spring training.
