Gardner-Webb Falls to #5 Duke

DURHAM, N.C. – The Gardner-Webb University softball team fell to #5 Duke University on Tuesday evening by a final score of 14-1. The Bule Devils got six across in the first, two in the second, and six more in the third. Gardner-Webb scored their one run in the fourth inning as Andrea Lyon doubled to left center allowing Araceli Pesqueira to reach home. Duke ultimately won the game in the fifth via run rule.
