Gardner-Webb Falls to USC Upstate in Monday Series Finale

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Gardner-Webb University softball team fell in their series finale at the University of South Carolina Upstate on Monday evening 5-1. Monday's game was a makeup game to finish the three-game series due to weather on Friday and Sunday the previous weekend. Gardner-Webb's lone run came across in the first frame with Andrea Lyon singling to left field scoring Annicka McLaughlin.
