Gawryluk Earns Big South Freshman of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Longwood left-handed pitcher Cierra Gawryluk has been named Big South Conference Freshman of the Week in softball, the league announced Tuesday. Gawryluk pitched to a 1-1 record with one save in 15 1/3 innings helping the Lancers take two of three games from Radford at home Gawryluk compiled a 1.83 ERA, scattering 12 hits and four earned runs, striking out seven while not walking a batter.
