Hapward Collects Final Defensive Weekly Honor of the Season
EDISON, N.J. - Manhattan graduate student Connor Hapward was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Defensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday. In his senior day game, he defended the net against Wagner to win the final game of the regular season and clinch the No. 3 seed for the Jaspers. The goalkeeper made 12 saves and allowed only five goals, and tallied three ground balls in the 10-5 victory. Hapward and his teammates will host Quinnipiac on Saturday at noon at Gaelic Park in the opening round of the MAAC Tournament.
