The Rockhurst men's golf team finished eighth at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Golf Championships Monday at the Paradise Pointe Golf Course in Smithville, Missouri. The Hawks completed the three rounds of stroke play at 910 (300-296-314). Caleb Schmid tied for 17th individually to lead the Hawks. Schmid fired a final-round 81 to finish at 222. He combined for nine birdies in the first two rounds while shooting a 70 and 71 on Sunday. Elijah Shirley closed with a 73 in the final round to tie for 21st at 225.
