Kersten Ties Women’s Tennis Single Season Wins Record

LYNCHBURG, Va.- The Randolph women’s tennis team hosted Virginia Wesleyan in a designated non-conference match on Tuesday afternoon. The Marlins defeated the WildCats 6-3. In the singles portion, Lena Kersten (Bonn, Germany/Otto Kuhne Schule) defeated Tuva Flink 6-2, 6-0 at first singles. That win gives Kersten her 18th of the season and ties the single season record for wins set by Rashanna Moss in the 1998-1999 season. Randolph led 2-1 after doubles. Kersten and Sabrina Dickerson (Brookneal, Va.) won 8-5 over Flink and Sophie Engelbert.
