LCL wins DeBoer Diamond Classic

WAUPUN — Lake Country Lutheran’s baseball team came out as tournament champions at the DeBoer Diamond Classic hosted by Waupun, which culminated with a 3-1 victory over the host Warriors on Saturday. Play began Friday as the Lightning rode a 16-hit performance to a 14-4 win over Columbus. Jackson Menzel went 3-for-4 with a home run, double and three RBIs. Preston Manthei also went yard, going 2-for-3 with four runs batted in.
