Markunas named CC Women’s Golfer of the Week

LANCASTER, Pa. – Ava Nicole Markunas (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area), a sophomore on the Gettysburg women’s golf team, has been named Centennial Conference (CC) Women’s Golfer of the Week for the week of Apr. 16-21. Markunas helped the Bullets to a pair of tournament wins on the week. On Saturday, she fired a career-low round of 73 to win the Gettysburg Spring Invitational at Hanover Country Club.
