Pointers Sweep UWP, Move into First-Place Tie
STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The No. 22 UW-Stevens Point softball team (25-3, 5-1) is tied for first place in the WIAC after a sweep of UW-Platteville (21-7, 2-4) on Monday. The Pointers hit three home runs for the second-straight outing in a 4-1 victory in game one. UWSP finished the sweep with a 3-1 win in game two. Rachel Baker (Richmond, Ill./Richmond-Burton Community) extended her hitting streak to 10 games with three hits on the day. She hit one of UWSP’s three long balls.
