First-year Karen Potts, an infielder on the Case Western Reserve University softball team, was named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Player of the Week for her performance over the weekend, as announced by the organization on Tuesday. Potts, who also earned University Athletic Association Hitter of the Week honors, had the best offensive series of her young career during the 10th-ranked softball team’s four-game road sweep of Brandeis.
