Russo Dominates and Earns GNAC Rookie of the Week Honors

WINTHROP, Mass. – On Monday, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) announced its men’s tennis weekly report with first year Leonardo Russo (Barcelona, Spain) earning GNAC rookie of the week honors. Russo earned a victory at No. 3 doubles for Colby-Sawyer this week as they took down Vermont State Castleton, 9-0, on Wednesday (April 17). He won the match 8-4. Russo also competed in the GNAC Semifinals for the Chargers and had won the first set against The University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), 6-3, before the match was decided.
