Taylor Tinsley, a sophomore on the No. 9 UCLA softball team, was named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Pitcher of the Week, marking her first major weekly honor. She became the fourth UCLA hurler to receive this recognition and the first since February 2020. Tinsley was also honored as the D1Softball Pitcher of the Week and Pac-12 Pitcher of the Week for her outstanding performance in UCLA's sweep at No. 5 Stanford, leading the Bruins to the top of the conference standings. Throughout the three games, she limited Stanford to seven hits and struck out 20 batters over 15.2 scoreless innings. In game one, Tinsley achieved a career-high 15 strikeouts and did not allow a walk in a 9.0-inning masterful performance, ultimately helping her team secure the victory.
