MONMOUTH, Ore. --- Western Oregon senior Arturo Alvarez continued to be honored for his stellar start Sunday as he was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Division II West Region Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday. The right-hander in his final home start of his career didn't give up an earned run in eight innings of work with four strikeouts and five hits during the Wolves 8-1 win over Saint Martin's on the team's way to a four-game sweep.
