AMHERST, Mass . — Sophomore goalkeeper Brooks Catlin made 16 saves – 7 in the fourth quarter and 3 in the final 94 seconds — as the 13th-ranked Amherst College men’s lacrosse team defeated Trinity, 6-5, Wednesday night on Gooding Field.. * Trinity led 5-4 at the half but was held scoreless for the final 30 minutes by Amherst. The Mammoths scored twice in the third quarter to take a 6-5 lead. Neither team scored in the fourth quarter. It’s the fewest goals allowed by the Mammoths in a game since March 20, 2018, a 13-4 win over Endicott College.…
