Chekhlystova, Lebedeva Grab Big Ten Women’s Tennis Honors

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Sofiya Chekhlystova and Alina Lebedeva were honored by the Big Ten for the 2024 season on Wednesday afternoon. Both seniors, Chekhlystova was selected to the All-Big Ten team, and Lebedeva was given the Sportsmanship Award. Chekhlystova joins Olga Novikova (1995-97) and Petra Januskova (2011-13) as the only Nittany Lions to earn three All-Big Ten selections. The Estonia native has 15 singles wins this season, including a 10-5 mark in dual matches. She is 6-3 in the Big Ten, while playing the majority of her matches at No. 1.
