Defensive coordinator becomes head coach for Smithville football
SMITHVILLE — Josh Speer is taking over the head coaching position this fall for Smithville High School football. He served as defensive coordinator for the last nine years and has been teaching PE and weight training for 15 years at the high school. Speer also serves as the head baseball coach for the Warriors. He has led the team for a decade. The team is 11-10 so far on the season.
